Description:
We have received numerous calls concerning the pain management requirement for dental professionals. The language for the requirement is listed below. The requirement can be fulfilled by obtaining information about managing a patient’s pain during any of our Clinical & Technical Skills courses.

Department of Community Health Director's Office Dentistry Rules - General Rules Part 7: Continuing Education (c) Each licensee shall complete at least 1 continuing education credit in pain and symptom management in each renewal period. Continuing education credits in pain and symptom management may include, but are not limited to, courses in behavior management, psychology of pain, pharmacology, behavior modification, stress management, clinical applications, and drug interactions. The required CE can be from a stand-alone course in pain and symptom management or one that is integrated within another topic.
